By now, most college professors use the Internet to hand out assignments. Where are they sending students?
More than 940,000 college professors participated in Pearson Learning Solution’s recent study, “Teaching, Learning, and Sharing: How Today’s Higher Education Faculty Use Social Media for Work and for Play.”
Fourty-two percent revealed that they use different forms of social media in student assignments. Here are the top five picks:
Online videos: Students assigned to view/read (32%) and post (10%)
Podcasts: Students assigned to view/read (15%) and post (4%)
Blogs: Students assigned to view/read (14%) and post (8%)
Wikis: Students assigned to view/read (11%) and post (7%)
Facebook: Students assigned to view/read (3%) and post (2%)
