Top 40 websites in eLearning

Top 40 websites in eLearning, Top 40 highest ranking websites in eLearning, training and development

It's not that the web's most respected analytics tools aren't really helpful, it's just that in B2B markets like eLearning, training or HR, the numbers they churn out don't always seem to mean that much. "So what!" if your Google Pagerank is struggling in the relegation zone and the leading traffic rankers place a zillion other sites between you and Facebook: the only thing that really matters is how your site's doing compared to the other guys on your business beat right? That's why we've created the industry's first Top 40 Chart of high rankers in eLearning, training and development.

Here's the science part

All web analytics tools have strengths and weaknesses, so we've crunched data from five of the digital marketing industry's most popular and trusted measurement resources to create the Top 40 Highest Ranking websites in eLearning and training chart.
Each company listed below has been analysed using Google PageRank, Moz Rank, Alexa, Hubspot's Web grader and Compete. Rankings from link based measurement tools like Moz or Google PageRank have been given more weight than tools like Compete or Alexa, which use smaller samples. We've also considered the number of pages that a website has indexed in Google and the number of domains linking in to each website. (We could talk forever about this process, so if you're really interested in the micro-detail just get in touch). Detailed downloads will be available after we publish the Top 100 Ranking websites at the end of May.

Company criteria: A company must be either exclusively dedicated to the provision of eLearning or training (like Skillsoft or Epic) or it must generate a significant portion of revenue from the provision of tech based learning services, like Techsmith or TellMeMore.com. If eLearning represents a significant division of a full on global enterprise, like Adobe or Webex, then we've analysed only the eLearning or training assets of the business (ie: www.adobe.com/elearningsuite has been analysised, not www.adobe.com).

Respect to to you
If you're on this list you should be pretty proud. This is not a Top 40 for the US, Europe or ASPAC.  It's a global chart of the world's highest ranking sites in the sector.

Not on the list?
We've checked over 250 of the world's leading operators in eLearning and training, but if we've missed you out and you think you should be ranked amongst the Top 40 get in touch pronto. We'll either amend the list or tell you where your site currently ranks within the Top 200.

Think you should be ranking higher?
You learn a lot when you analyse the web content, statistics and rankings of every major eLearning and training player in the business, so if you're keen to deploy some ratings winners of your own we're pretty sure we can give you a heads up on what works. Stick with us over the next weeks as we detail the most common (often easy to fix) weak spots we came across as we developed the Top 40 project or talk to us now about the best things you can do to boost your business online today.
